What is your marketing hub

Your marketing hub is that place where your customers can find the latest information or a longer explanation about a product or service.

Let’s say you create a brochure. The brochure is going to have a call to action on it that will encourage the reader to visit your website. The reader is later listening to the radio and the website is mentioned again. They are having a coffee later in the day and pick up the Quick Print where they are given the website. They go home, have supper and as they are sitting watching TV they say, “O Yea” What was that website? Then they pull out their phone or laptop and check it out.

The biggest reason that your website is your best marketing hub is because it can reach the most marketing goals at once. You can cover most of the marketing pie market research, public relations, customer support, advertise, and much more.

Here is a point within a point – Your marketing material, advertising, web page, phone call, email, etc must have a call to action to your marketing hub. It must provide an opportunity for the customer to be directed to do something.

Here’s your action item –

Map out your marketing plan on a piece of poster paper. Write down your forms of advertising, the ways that your customers can reach you, find the cracks and fill them in. Decide, with each of your marketing pieces what you are trying to get your customers to do? Is it buy a product, create an order, request a quote, or join your mailing list? Is it obvious?

If you do not know where you want your customers to go, there is a good chance that they will not know either. Just think of trying to direct the path of a rabbit without a fence. Without guidance, you have no control over where the rabbit will go, add some fences and you have provided direction.

This is not saying that 100% of your customers will stay within your “fences”, but for those who want, or are interested in” purchasing, they now have a path to follow to do so.
